Choosing a Sunscreen to Prevent Oil Breakdowns & Really Useful Tips!

In the summer, my whole face gets shiny and my makeup cakes because of sweat and sebum 😭
As I have oily/combination skin, controlling oil was my biggest concern, but after trying various products, I’ve developed my own criteria for choosing sunscreen!
1. Selected for “Mineral sunscreen + Refreshing formula”
A watery, non-sticky type is a real must.
Mineral sunscreens (titanium dioxide/zinc jade) feel less oily than chemical sunscreens.
2. Check the “Oil-Free / Non-comedogenic” label
If it's oil-free, it really helps with oil blocking.
Non-comedogenic is labeled to prevent clogged pores, so it causes fewer breakouts.
3. Find products containing “sebum-controlling ingredients”
If it contains skin-soothing ingredients or sebum-absorbing powder, it helps keep the skin matte.
4. Tip – Control amount & finish with cushion/powder
If you only apply sunscreen, oil will rise to the surface over time, so apply a thin layer twice.
I found that finishing with a tapping motion using powder or a cushion compact makes the matte finish last much longer!
Since using this method, the oiliness in my T-zone has decreased significantly 😊
